Submissions

We welcome article submissions relevant to defence, security, foreign affairs, diplomacy, and economics.

Those wishing to submit may either send a completed draft of their work or an article proposal.

Please send all submissions to submissions@sdafa.co.uk 

Submissions to the Analysis & Reports section of the site should be between 500-3,000 words long, although we also accept longer pieces. The tone should be informative and accessible. Written pieces should contribute to one of our existing projects. We currently accept referencing via hyperlinks and academic-style citations. For longer reports, academic referencing is preferred, with in-text citations and a full bibliography included at the end. If your submission catches our eye, our editorial team will guide you further in catering your work to the SDAFA style. 

Please label your submission email as 'Submission' in the subject line in addition to the category you wish to submit to. You should also include a short biography of up to three lines. Attach your work as a Word document.

We plan to launch our scholarly journal later in 2024. Submission guidelines and a call for papers will be announced in due course. Check out the SDAFA website and social media for regular updates.
